And actually when you enable arc support Klipper is converting those arcs to line segments before it even sends the events to the firmware. However, Klipper is specifically built for speed and, assuming you're not streaming from OctoPrint, doesn't have any problem handling the gcode generated from higher resolution arcs. This is specifically a problem when streaming gcode from Octoprint to your firmware or when using slower controller boards with other firmware. This in turn prevents stuttering where bandwidth is a problem. The selling point of ArcWelder is that you can greatly reduce the number of gcode commands by converting multiple G0/G1 commands to G2/G3 commands. ![]() On the other hand there's not really and advantage to using ArcWelder with Klipper. Keeping the controls in the slicer give you the ability to make this adjustment and preview the resulting gcode. This is an acceptable trade-off for some models but not for others.
